In those days and at that time I will make a righteous Branch sprout from David’s line; he will do what is just and right in the land.
In those days Judah will be saved
and Jerusalem will live in safety.

How long they waited for God’s promise to be fulfilled! For centuries and countless invaders and civil wars–they waited for the Son of David to come.
God promised a righteous Branch to sprout from David’s line.
When I think about God’s promises, I imagine they are much like the tulip bulbs beneath the beautiful flowers in the picture above. While the tulips only last a short time, the bulb, planted below the surface, produces a glorious flower every spring!
Much of the Bible is promise and Christ is the fulfillment. How is God fulfilling the promises above in your life? How is he making himself known as “The Lord, Our Righteous Savior”?
Promise Fulfilled
“‘The days are coming,’ declares the Lord, ‘when I will fulfill the good promise I made to the people of Israel and Judah.
