This Sunday evening, April 17 at 6:30, we will be having the second of two Vision 2011 Meetings. Everyone who considers First Assembly their church home is encouraged to be present and participate. This coming Sunday night, we will briefly review the core values, mission, vision and goals of First Assembly that were presented in some detail at the first Vision 2011 Meeting.
I heard reviews of that first Vision Meeting on April 3, 2011 with words that ranged from “boring” to “very exciting” and everything in between. This meeting will require the involvement of our congregation.
Then we will break into Focus Groups, including the following:
Assimilation
Worship Arts
Life Groups
Youth
Children
Men
Women
Finance
Missions
These focus groups will work on devising strategies that are in keeping with helping the church’s ministries to function in a way that will help our church to meet its goals and work in a way that is in harmony with our stated values, mission, and vision.
I’m hoping everyone who is a part of First Assembly will make it for this important night of dialogue. Together, we’ll start building a bright future we will share.
See you then! To learn more about First Assembly of God in Lafayette, Indiana, see our website.
