First Assembly Appoints Interim Community Center Director

With the retirement from active ministry by outgoing Community Center Director Wayne Peercy, Bob Fallon of Lafayette has been appointed as the interim director.

Bob has more than 30 years involvement with First Assembly Community Ministries and has long been a proponent of the acquisition and development of the property now owned by First Assembly Community Properties, LLC that is a blossoming community center.

Bob is a Lily retiree who worked in various technical and management roles in Indiana and in Puerto Rico.  His thoughtful, detailed and analytical strengths make him a strong leader during this time of transition for the community center. In addition to his professional background, Bob serves on the church board of First Assembly Community Ministries.

Robby Bradford, lead pastor at First Assembly, expresses great hope in the next steps for the community center, “At the end of December 2015, First Assembly came to own the facility on Old US 231 and after just three months, we see a bright future in this self-sustaining community asset. Bob’s strengths in strategic thinking and administration are just what we need at this phase.”

Bob would looks forward to the days ahead, “I’m happy to serve in anyway I can move the community center vision forward.”

First Assembly looks forward to announcing the new community center director as soon as this summer and is looking for a candidate with ties to the community and the church.
