I’m fired up about the series we’re starting this Sunday for the month of July at First Assembly Community Ministries!  It’s all about the unity the Church is supposed to be experiencing and so often falls short of.  It’s about the implications of belonging to the Church and how no spirituality with Jesus can happen meaningfully apart from being a part of the community of the local church.

The picture here is a mosaic of pictures of people from our congregation.  It’s an amazing reminder that the more unified we are, the clearer the picture of Jesus becomes.  Unity is such an important reality for us to capture as the people of God!

Questions that will be addressed in this series are things like:  Why and how is unity with other believers a part of God’s plan for everyone?  How can you have a good church fight?  How do I recognize the line between exercising individual freedoms and loving others?  What is the role of authority of others in the church in my personal spirituality?
