March’s “Volunteer of the Month” at First Assembly Community Ministries is Sharon Justice.  Sharon serves in the choir, but she and her husband have served in countless areas around the church for many years!  Below you’ll find some answers she recently gave about serving at First Assembly–

Area of ministry
Choir
When did you first get involved?
January of 1980
How long have you been serving in this ministry?
34 years
Why do you serve?
To use my motivation gift and fulfill my calling in ministry.  The choir lets me do that
What’s the best part of serving in this ministry?
Serving alongside my fellow choir members
Why should other people serve in this ministry?
It is rewarding to use your God given talents in ministry for the kingdom.
What is one story where you’ve seen First Assembly’s mission play out?
(to create a community where waves of people are transformed by the love of God)

There was a lady that I came to know well who was new to the choir.  When she first came in she was so new to faith and hungry for more.  She developed a deep desire for all things spiritual that God had to offer.  It was amazing to see God’s transforming love at work right in front of my eyes!
