Starting tonight–at 6:30PM in our sanctuary, we’ll start offering a worship service that will be conducted in Spanish!  The Spanish-speaking portion of our community and our church has been growing, and this is a timely thing we can offer to begin reaching out.  First Assembly will now have an expression of itself in Spanish.  I can’t wait.

The plan for now is meet every other Saturday and see what happens from there.  The idea is not to start a new, independent congregation, but instead to start an expression of our church that happens in another language.  Helping us with preaching will be Pastors Jon Susa and Domingo Maldanado, both of The Caring Place (formerly Calvary Temple of Indianapolis).

Please be in prayer with me about this exciting and possibly explosive new ministry endeavor.  The long-term hope is that this group will grow to a size and significance that we will seek to offer a service at 11AM somewhere in our church building, so that the children and students, who often speak English, can benefit from the age-appropriate ministries at that time.

I hope to get pictures up tonight of this first worship service starting in less than an hour!  If you’d like to find out more about this ministry, please drop an email to Pastor Dwight Johns by clicking here.
