“‘Come now, let us reason together,’ says the LORD.
“Though your sins are like scarlet, They shall be as white as snow; Though they are red as crimson,
They shall be like wool.'”
–Isaiah 1:18

This seminal promise of the Christmas season brings one great theme of the Advent to the fore: God’s grace gives in a way that stuns and transforms the recipient.  God is far more gracious than either the devout or the sinner imagines.

Over the next four Sundays and on Christmas Eve, First Assembly will explore the unfathomable riches of God’s grace in Christ.  The scriptures and the dates are below, but I want to encourage to come ready to receive from God and bring someone with you!  God’s grace is ripe for the asking!

December 2             Isaiah 1                      Scarlet into Snow
December 9             Matthew 1                  A Scandalous Family Tree
December 16           1 Timothy 1:12-17      Came to Save Sinners
December 23           Matthew 1:18-25        Grace with the Failures of Others
December 24           John 1:1-18                 Full of Grace and Truth

I DO LOVE Christmastime and expect God give immeasurably to his people as we focus on the One who came full of Grace and Truth!
