After just a year and a half, Southwestern Assemblies of God University, in Waxahachie, Texas, has granted River City Leadership College, based at First Assembly Community Ministries in Lafayette, Indiana, the right to offer the full bachelor’s degree program in Church Leadership.
This bachelor’s offering is in addition to the associate’s degree in Bible, which the Indiana-based college began to offer in the fall of 2015. While Southwestern usually only offers its bachelor’s degree to sites with 20 students or more and River City only has 16 students confirmed enrolled for the fall of 2017, it seems to point to the trust that the Texas institution has in River City’s ability to grow and offer a quality program.
River City has on-campus housing and presently has students who hail from across Indiana and Colorado. Robby Bradford, lead pastor at First Assembly, says of the development, “We are greatly blessed to be able to host so many quality people who are called to vocational ministry.”
