Jesse Galvin is 16 years old and has attended First Assembly Community Ministries for 12 years! He’s a sophomore at McCutcheon High School and volunteers weekly in various capacities at Nexus Student Ministries. He is part of our Nexus Set-up team and stays after church every Sunday to get things set-up for our evening services. In addition, Jesse volunteered to lead a life group every Wednesday night where he is currently going week by week through the 10 Commandments! He loves Jesus, models servant leadership, and is a great example to his peers as he strives to bring his unsaved friends to Nexus! He is making waves!!!

We asked Jesse…

1) What inspired you to get involved not only as a student, but also as a volunteer in Nexus?

“Coming into high school, I had a faith in Jesus, but it was a comfortable faith. I felt the conviction of the Spirit to get uncomfortable for Jesus, so I just started doing everything I could to serve and put Jesus Christ and his holy message before my comfort and my fleshly desires.”

2) What’s your favorite part of serving in Nexus?

“The fulfillment that I feel. I fell a satisfaction and a contentment from the Lord.”

Thank you, Jesse for your commitment and heart of servant leadership at First Assembly!
