The Convoy of Hope Community Day is Saturday, October 8, 2016 at the Tippecanoe County Fairgrounds in Lafayette.  Gates open at 10:00 am and will offer a great day for people of all ages, complete with free groceries, haircuts, immunizations, job interviews, etc.

Preparing for this event will take a massive effort on the part of the Greater Lafayette community, with more than 1000 people involved in pulling it off.  If you’d like to be a part, a Volunteer Rally  will be held on Friday, October 7th at 7:00 pm at First Assembly.

Volunteers who want to serve in the Connections Tent to pray with people need to attend a training on Thursday, October 6th at 6:00 pm at First Assembly.

The entire day is free for the Guests of Honor. $30,000 is still needed to pull off the event that is expected to draw more than 5000 people.

Donations from individuals or businesses can be submitted through online giving at firstag.org/give using the option  COH – 10/8 EVENT.

On October 8, 2016, area churches, businesses, and agencies will participate in the Greater Lafayette Convoy of Hope Community Event to give tangible hope to families living in situations of desperate need.  You are invited to share in this united act of compassion!

On this special day, thousands of guests from across our community will receive free groceries, health services, haircuts, family portraits, connection with community services, prayer, lunch, games and activities for children, and more!

We need you to help make this day complete!

  • The entire day is FREE to our Guests of Honor, but it does cost the community to put it on.  Would you make a donation to help offset the cost? All donations are tax-deductible. Donations may be sent to First Assembly and marked as Convoy of Hope Community Event.
  • Please share the event with those who do business with you as well as any personal connections.  We want to make sure that all those who can use the assistance know about the day and can participate.
  • If you have a service or item that you think would enhance the event and you would like to offer it, please let us know.
  • There is a Facebook page for the local event.  Would you please join it and invite others to do so as well?  This page is a great way to stay up to date on fundraisers, promotion opportunities, and all the details as we get closer to the event!
