A number of people have asked me how they can give to help with the response to the earthquake in Nepal just about 9 days ago.  Our partner in such situations is Convoy of Hope, the Assemblies of God partner in disaster relief.

The Convoy of Hope team on the ground in Nepal continues to work with local partners. Convoy of Hope is sending 700 tarps to the region donated by Springfield, Missouri-based Bass Pro.
“The Nepalese government is reporting that at least half a million tents are needed for earthquake survivors who’ve been forced from their homes,” says Kary Kingsland, Senior Vice President of Convoy of Hope. “We hope these tarps will bring much-needed relief to survivors who’ve been left to the elements. We’re grateful for the support of Bass Pro Shops.” The team on the ground has already surveyed several sights. Distributions are expected to expand in the coming days.
