Community First is the next series we’ll be tackling in our Sunday morning messages.  We have a collective vision to reach our community with greater and greater effectiveness.

God has put not only an amazing mission in our hands: “To create a community where waves of people are transformed by the love of God.”, but we now have a huge opportunity to substantially grow our ability in reaching our community by transforming an old grocery store into a community center where we can increase our ability to reach children, youth and young families, as well as serve as a staging ground for ministries to the underserved in our neighborhood.

In order for us to take that big step ahead collectively, we’ll be engaged in a four week sermon series called “Community First”.  This series will start on February 15 with 20 days of fasting and prayer and will conclude on March 8.

This series is a lot bigger than a campaign to raise much needed funds for building renovation.  It’s about following God where he leads us and accomplishing the vision he puts into our lives personally and into our church.

I’m looking forward to seeing what God does in our lives as keep asking, “What can happen when God works through all of us?”
