The 40-day period of preparation, prayer and fasting leading to Easter  is called “Lent”.  This word is actually the word meaning “spring” in many languages.

To prepare ourselves for Easter, we’ll be looking at a marvelous set of sayings from Jesus on the cross. In the midst of his agony there, Christ utters seven powerful statements that touch on the core themes of what happens in the cross of Jesus and how the gospel can transform our lives.
