For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does.  The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world.  On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds.  We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.  –2 Corinthians 10:4-5

To “weaponize” something is to use it as a weapon.  Our words, prayers, actions, generosity–they’re all potential weapons in the Christian faith!

Following Christ and making a difference for him in the world involves a struggle that is real for anyone who has tried it.  For two weeks in September, the 16th and the 23rd, we’ll be focusing on a couple of the spiritual weapons we have.

In addition, we’ll be collecting an offering for “Fire Bibles”–a reference Bible developed by Assemblies of God missionaries.  The Fire Bibles we’ll be buying will be put into the hands of pastors who serve the persecuted Church in North Korea.  The word of God is a weapon for sure and has been a radical force for spiritual revolution throughout the world and throughout history.  If you wish to learn more about the Fire Bible, click here!

Prepare your heart and mind to focus on what can be released if we’ll start seeing our own role in God’s kingdom as a “weaponized” reality.
