“Be still and know that I am God…”  Psalm 46:10


There’s a LOT of waiting in life.  Some waiting is a fixed period of time–having a baby, recovering from a surgery, the 24 hour flu.


However, much of the waiting we experience is an existential staple to life.  Much of life is found in transitions.  We’re waiting to graduate.  We’re waiting to get married.  We’re waiting to have children.  We’re waiting on the promotion to a job we actually will enjoy doing.  The list goes on and on.


That’s why over the next five weeks, we’ll be spending our Sunday morning in a series of messages called, “Life in the Waiting Room”.  Sometimes we’re tempted to let time in the waiting room be lost time.  Time when we can’t wait to be called on.  


I’ve learned in my life that how well we learn to wait is a direct indicator of how well we will learn to live.  What are you waiting on today?  What kind of person will you be in the meantime?  What could God be teaching you in the midst of the wait?  These and more are the kinds of questions we will explore in the coming weeks here at church.  


I’m looking to learn a lot about the rich rewards that come from waiting well!
